Renato Spartano Jelen

Hi, I’m Renato, also known as ‘Spartano’. Around being a father of two, a musician, a lover of all things
to do with the beach (swimming, surfing), a passion for football (yes soccer), I love to create art. Since I
was young, drawing and creativity has always been a part of my life. I lived in Sao Paulo, Brazil,
surrounded by creative people.
In 2003 I loved to Sydney, Australia, where I continue to call home.
I am always in search of artistic exchanges – in all forms. I have a unique style, easily recognizable
through abstract shapes, colourful and intriguing mirrored patterns.
I love going back to my roots, one of my greatest pleasures is to draw intuitively, what flows out has
depth and meaning, with psychedelic elements to it. It also brings me joy to create after doing some
deep meditation, and fill my art with inspired coded shapes and elements.
I focus on feelings and forms, emphasise the magic of the colours and beauty of the shapes. I often
contemplate the opportunity to know what people can see and feel when they look at my pieces.
I feel really grateful to be able to share my visual artistic experience with others – whether it’s on their
wall or their bodies. I hope you enjoy this space to explore art in many forms.
